Letter from the President
As President of Employee Council, I would like to welcome everyone to the 2011-2012 academic year.
Council’s main role is to “facilitate communication between Emory employees and university administration and serve as an advisory body to the president”. Last year our theme was “A Voice for the Employees,” so we set up communications so that we could listen to the concerns of our colleagues. We heard your questions and tried to maintain and improve upon some of the communication techniques we established. This year our theme is “Your Communication Connection”; we would like to put you in touch with the paths that lead to your personal and professional development. We are delving deeper into professional development and the various concerns that were submitted around Town Hall 2011. We continue to work on improving our transportation system, and maintaining quality benefits. 2012 will also mark the year that Emory goes Tobacco Free! We want your input and thank you in advance for helping us serve you better.
